And Then It Happened…
Have you ever heard of the books Titled “And Then It Happened…” Well, these are amazing books with humour and a bit of everything else. The author M. and L. Wade came and visited us at our school. He talked about how anyone can be a writer and how you just have to believe you can do. He was very convincing and and I thought that he was a very good public speaker because he wasn’t afraid to use his voice in front of us. In language, we had to create our own “And Then It Happened…” stories and then put it on our blogs. Down below is my story and it would be very much appreciated if you could comment on it and tell me how you liked it. Thanks.
The Rough Valentine’s Day
One cold February day, Jordan was getting a ride with his mom to his bus stop since he lived in the small town of Denton, Montana. Jordan was a curious eleven year old, who was a bit of a trouble maker. He rarely got in trouble but got into mischief almost every day of school. His plans were always so brilliant that he never got caught.
Jordan is my best friend along with the rest of our class, but we have known each other since kindergarten. I was waiting at the bus stop when Jordan showed up with his mom. We greeted each other like we always do and then hopped on the bus and we were off to school.
Jordan and I sit in the backseat talking about cars and usually what we were going to play at recess in school that today. That has kind have become a routine for us but today, the bus ride to school was different! It wasn’t a different route and it wasn’t a different bus. It was the things Jordan and I talked about. Jordan tells me everything and it is not a shocker when he mentions this girl named Taylor in our class. Just before we arrived at school, Jordan Turned to me and said, “I have a plan.” We talked until we had to get off about tomorrow when it is Valentine’s Day; Jordan is going to write a note in the middle of class which will then be passed right to Taylor which will make her fall in love with him forever. I told him it wasn’t a good idea but he didn’t care. All he cared about was trying to get Taylor to fall in love with him.
As the day went by and the night rolled in, all I could think about was how dumb Jordan’s plan was and finally came to the conclusion that he will probably chicken out and he will not even write the note in the first place. The next morning, we did our routine all over again and finally after listening about Taylor for 25 minutes, I was ready to get to school. All day I was wondering about when Jordan was going to do his sure fire plan. It was right at the beginning of math class when I glanced over at Jordan and saw him reaching into his pocket and pulled out this red piece of paper. I thought to myself, He is actually going to do it!
And Then It Happened…
The moment Miss. Collings; our teacher walked in, Jordan made his first move by passing the note that read “Taylor” on the top of it. The note passed through several students and finally made it to the other side of the room where two Taylors sat in class. I noticed it very quickly as there was two Taylors and one was a boy and one was a girl. I don’t think Jordan noticed because he was smiling the whole time and daydreaming, probably about Taylor. When it made it to the boy that sat beside the male Taylor, it went straight to him passed by the boy beside him. Jordan’s eyes got really big and his face became very red.
Taylor opened and read the note. Then he gasped. Everyone looked over at Taylor as he raised his hand and told Miss. Collings that he got an inappropriate note. Miss. Collings walked over to Taylor looking very annoyed. She saw that it was from Jordan and then made it over to him and demanded him to go to the front of the room and read his note in front of the class of what he thought was perfect but to Taylor, Miss. Collings and soon the rest of the class was just a little odd. Jordan looked as if he was going to cry but he kept it together and started reading. “To: Taylor. I love you with all of my heart. XOXO. From: Jordan. Everyone was very shocked and then began to laugh. I tried to hold it in but all of this time; I knew it
going to turn out well. So I began laughing hysterically with the rest of the class.
Miss. Collings calmed the class down and told Jordan to go to the principal’s office immediately and that she and the principle would be dealing with him later. I keep thinking that this is a very good lesson for all of us and that you should not pass notes in class and you shouldn’t date at a very young age because it could cause you trouble. It was also a very good lesson for Jordan as that was the last of his ridiculous plans. Things changed on the bus with Jordan and I’s conversations as it went back to the normal ride as I always wanted it to be.
