For challenge challenge 10, Mrs. Wyatt put up questions for us to reflect on on what we thought we did on the 2011 Student Blogging Challenge. Down below are the questions which are in red and my answers which are green, as always as you can see on my blog you are reading off of. I hope you enjoy my responses on the questions below.
Did you visit the actual challenge on the blog each week or did your teacher have a post on your class blog?
My teacher did explain the activities he wanted us to complete but to further explain it, he left the link to the challenge from Mrs. Wyatt’s blog so we could go there as well which was very helpful.
Which challenges were the most useful?
The challenge that I thought was the most useful was challenge three because one of the activities in this challenge is when you has to explain how to write a good post. I am a second year blogger so I learned from last year but for new bloggers, it could help them write good comments and that would attract people to anyone’s blog which is awesome.
Which challenges were the most interesting?
In my opinion, challenge 6 was very interesting and just fun to read others posts because it was the challenge where you had to write about a world issue. I chose world hunger but reading about others choices was very interesting and it was amusing to read.
What would be some other topics you would like included in future challenges?
Some other topics that I would like to include would be is where you had to find a blog from certain countries. this would give us a variety of people all around the world.
Are more tutorial type challenges needed? eg. how to make a link in your po Were the ‘Visit these’ posts useful?
I think it is perfect right now because if you have too many, there will not be as much as every other kind of post like the one I just mentioned above.
Were the challenges where you had to embed ie polls, cartoons, wall wisher etc interesting or could you not embed due to being a free Edublogs blog or a blogging platform that didn’t low embedding?
Yes, I thoughjt they were very interesting because it was just you creating them.
Were there enough chances to visit blogs from overseas and make links with other students/classes?
Yes, I thought there wqas enough of overseas commenting. In fact, we just did that in challenge eight.
Classes that registered – were there enough activities specific to classes?
I do not recall many class activities so I think that there could be more.
Did you make global connections?
Yes, I did make global connections throughout the challenge with all of the challenges and activities.
Anything else you would like to mention about the challenge in particular
I think this is a very good idea to have this challenge because since last year when I started blogging, I can see how my writing has improved and I just enjoy completing the challenges and meeting new people world wide.
